Brand “Мѣнскъ” created for the 950th anniversary of Minsk has won recognition in Brussels

“Мѣнскъ” brand, created especially for the 950th anniversary of the Belarusian capital has won total recognition in the prestigious international contest Superior Taste Award 2017 held in the European Union’s capital Brussels.

In the contest held this year the premium vodka “Mѣnskъ” has won two Golden Stars at once “For the superior taste”, which is a high achievement for domestic products.

Award “For the superior taste” is a real international recognition of food products and beverages based on an independent opinion of head chefs and sommeliers with great experience in tasting wines and spirits. The prize is awarded by the International Taste & Quality Institute, which is a leading organization for expert evaluation and certification of food products and beverages from all over the world. Jury members of the contest are qualified tasters and recognized experts in their field, chosen among the 15 most prestigious European culinary and sommelier associations.

According to the General Director of JSC "Minsk Grape Wines Factory" Ivan Trotsky, the success of the “Мѣнскъ” brand is not accidental. The idea to create this product was born during the visit made by the city government to our enterprise the year before last. Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets then expressed his wish for creation of a vodka that could become the city’s “visiting card” of a kind. The Mayor proposed to release a premium product which would be in demand not only in the internal market, but would also have an undoubted export potential. That is how the “Мѣнскъ” vodka was developed, –  said Ivan Trotsky.
